Position Overview

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will drive revenue growth for CHEMCAD and PFM (Applied Flow Technology) solutions across Africa & the Middle East.

This role involves managing channel partners and executing direct sales activities with end customers. It requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong technical aptitude, and experience in engineering or industrial software sales.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Management (Africa & Middle East)

  • Develop and manage distributors, resellers, and sales partners.
  • Train partners on product value, pricing, and sales processes.
  • Support joint customer visits, demos, proposals, and negotiations.
  • Monitor partner performance and conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Recruit new partners to expand market coverage.

Direct Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and engage prospects across industries such as chemicals, oil & gas, energy, and manufacturing.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and consultative selling.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFQs and prepare proposals.
  • Maintain pipeline and forecasting in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

Technical & Product Collaboration

  • Work with technical teams to support evaluations and trials.
  • Provide customer feedback and market insights to Product teams.
  • Represent Datacor at trade shows and industry events.

Territory Strategy

  • Develop annual regional business plans aligned with global objectives.
  • Drive revenue targets through partner-led and direct sales.
  • Identify market opportunities and monitor competitor activity.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in technical or engineering software sales.
  • Familiarity with tools like CHEMCAD, Aspen, HYSYS, AFT, or PIPE-FLO.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Africa and the Middle East.

Preferred

  • Experience managing channel partners or distributors.
  • Experience selling to EPCs, operating companies, or academic institutions.
  • Background with CHEMCAD or PFM tools.
  • Multilingual: Arabic and English required; French is a plus.
