Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Remote Senior Short-Form Video Editor to join our social media agency. This role focuses on producing high-performing Instagram Reels and TikTok content by transforming raw footage into premium short-form videos using advanced editing techniques.
The role includes complex transitions, sound design, motion graphics, animations, visual effects, and integrating AI-generated video content. You will also develop prompts and workflows for AI tools and combine AI elements seamlessly with traditional editing.
The ideal candidate is an experienced editor with expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, along with a strong understanding of short-form social media engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit high-performing Instagram Reels and TikTok videos daily.
- Create complex edits with advanced transitions, pacing, and sound design.
- Transform raw footage into premium short-form content.
- Apply motion graphics, animations, and visual effects.
- Create and integrate AI-generated video content.
- Develop prompts and workflows for AI video tools.
- Maintain high-quality standards with fast turnaround times.
- Collaborate on creative direction and content strategy.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Extensive experience editing short-form social media content.
- Hands-on experience with Instagram Reels and TikTok editing.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong design sense (typography, layout, visual hierarchy).
- Advanced skills in sound design, transitions, and animation.
- Experience with AI video generation tools and prompt engineering.
- Ability to combine AI-generated content with traditional editing.
- Strong creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet daily deadlines and work independently.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and adaptable mindset.
- Ability to work within U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
- Reliable computer setup and high-speed internet.
Portfolio and Test Project
- Submit a portfolio of five personally edited videos.
- Complete a test project demonstrating advanced editing skills.
- Showcase transitions, sound effects, motion elements, and AI integration.
- Simple edits will not be considered.
