Role Summary

ALX Africa is seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Specialist to design, scale, and optimize automation systems powering customer and stakeholder journeys.

This role sits within the Sales and Marketing Automation team and partners across departments to build scalable CRM processes, workflows, and integrations.

You will own the HubSpot ecosystem, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and measurable impact across campaigns and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize HubSpot CRM for lead management and engagement.
  • Design multi-channel automation strategies (email, WhatsApp, SMS, etc.).
  • Manage integrations between HubSpot and systems like Salesforce and Jotform.
  • Ensure data hygiene, governance, segmentation, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Build dashboards and reporting systems for performance tracking.
  • Lead training and enablement initiatives for platform adoption.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on automation and innovation.
  • Stay updated on AI and automation trends to improve processes.

Skill Requirements (Essential)

  • 6+ years experience in CRM, marketing automation, or RevOps.
  • Expert-level experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
  • Experience managing complex multi-region automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and compliance (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable automation systems.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Skill Requirements (Preferred)

  • HubSpot certifications (Marketing Hub, Admin, Operations Hub).
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, or tools like Zapier or Make.
  • Exposure to Salesforce or enterprise CRM systems.
  • Experience in shared services or center-of-excellence teams.
  • Knowledge of documentation and change management practices.
